To provide a platform for diverse ethnic communities to showcase their artistic talents, share their stories, and connect with audiences, thereby promoting cross-cultural dialogue and fostering a sense of belonging and inclusion.

Workshops

Gurukulam - Workshops and Productions

Gurukulam embodies a timeless method of education through immersive residential workshops, where both students (sishyas) and mentors share wisdom within a single abode. This setting allows them to deeply engage with Paata - the Lessons, and embrace the core principles of life's teachings.

Margazhi in San Francisco Indian Classical Festival

Margazhi in San Francisco is a humble effort by Choros Charas - Destination for Arts and Srividya Dance School initiated to open a virtual and in-person platform for All artists around the world. The MISF was curated in the year 2020 amidst the pandemic and we have been truly blessed to be bringing this consecutively for the 3 years virtually and in-person. 

Exhibitions

Arts in Progress - A NEA residency

National Ethnic Arts Presents Arts in Progress a Residency explorations for Arts. This initiative is mainly focused on bringing diverse arts and artists together in an intimate showcase setup.

Artists of all disciplines such as International Music, Dance, visual artists can apply.

NEA prioritizes Full-Time Artists and Artists who identify themself as Woman, BIPOC, LGBTQIA,  in the selection process.

Education

Choros Charas - Destination Indian Classical and folk dances

Choros Charas - Destination for Arts is a for profit initiative by Swathi Lakshmanan that teaches Indian Classical dance, along with its theory and Heritage. Through this process the students are trained towards their graduation and are progressed through grades.
